Carencro Man Arrested for Making Threats against the Carencro Chief of Police

A 40-year-old man, Terrance Simmons, was arrested on a charge of public intimidation. Simmons allegedly called the Carencro Police Department and made threats against Police Chief David Anderson on a recorded message. Simmons was arrested on Friday morning and is being held at the Lafayette Correctional Center on a $1000 bond.

Louisiana State Police spokesman, Trooper First Class Thomas Gossen said Simmons then called the attorney general’s hotline and repeated the same threats.
