According to the TSA, a man tried to bring a sword onto a plane at a New Jersey airport. The Brazil-bound passenger thought he could travel with it as a carry-on item because of its value. The TSA explained on Twitter,
“Doesn’t matter to TSA how much the weapon is worth. No weapons should be brought in the cabin of a plane.”
The passenger complied and had the sword checked and stored in the belly of the aircraft in accordance with safety regulations.
