Despite his tragic death in a car crash in 1955, the legendary actor, James Dean, has landed a lead role in a Vietnam War action movie called “Finding Jack.”
Magic City Films obtained the rights to use Dean’s image from his family. The producer says, quote,
“We searched high and low for the perfect character to portray the role . . . and after months of research, we decided on JAMES DEAN.”
Dean will appear in “full-body CGI” and archival footage. The company is aiming for a release for Veterans Day in 2020. Not all in Hollywood are hip to the idea. Actors Chris Evans and Elijah Wood have spoken out against it.
James Dean, who died in a 1955 car crash at the age of 24, is making an unexpected return to the big screen. The cultural icon, known for Rebel Without a Cause and East of Eden, has been posthumously cast in the Vietnam era action-drama Finding Jack.
