Prime Minister Boris Johnson Moved to Intensive Care After Coronavirus Symptoms Worsened

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

 
 

The Prime Minister had spent over a week in self-isolation after developing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus before being taken to St. Thomas’ hospital in London.  UK government sources say Johnson remains conscious and his not on a ventilator, but doctors made the decision to transfer him to the ICU in case a ventilator would be needed.

 
 

Foreign Secretary and First Secretary of State, Dominic Raab will stand in for the Prime Minister when necessary.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved into an intensive-care unit after his condition deteriorated on Monday. Johnson, who was admitted to hospital on Sunday with “persistent” symptoms of COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, was moved into intensive care at about 7 p.m. GMT on Monday, his spokesman said.
