Saturday Fire At Cowboys

A Saturday fire at the legendary Cowboys Nightclub is being blamed on an electrical malfunction.
 
 
Damage was minor, although there was smoke damage throughout. Two people who tried to extinguish the fire were treated for smoke inhalation one was transported to the hospital.

 
 

The fire started a series of rumors on social media. Management has said,

“give me four weeks, and we will be reopened.”

 
 

Cowboys opened in the early eighties and has been a venue for many local stars to play, like Dustin Sonnier, Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron, Jeff Dugan, River Road, Sammy Kershaw, Trace Adkins, Kip Sonnier, Blaine Roy, among others. Many National acts have also performed, like Neal McCoy, David Allan Coe, Jeff Bates, and Johnny Lee. Country star Daryle Singletary’s final performance was at the famed venue.
