A week before Christmas, everyone was wearing shorts and enjoying the weather, and then Christmas weekend, an artic blast gave us a frozen Christmas.

Since the end of November, unpredictable weather patterns have affected hunting and fishing. Since the first step to having Boiled Crawfish is fishing them out of the pond, the weather is affecting the opening of Crawfish Season.

Some places are open but have reduced supply, but most restaurants are probably looking at a more traditional Lenten Season kickoff to Crawfish season if Mother Nature cooperates.
